Select Roofing was contracted to perform the refurbishment of the Irish Life Building by Collen Construction. The building is a landmark building in Dublin’s IFSC financial district and as such all work carried out would be under heavy scrutiny. The project required detailed planning following a thorough roof condition survey with important considerations due to the high exposure to the public and the need to minimise disruption to any activity as the building would be remaining “live” throughout the project.

The installation was of a Paralon bituminous felt built-up system over the pre-existing asphalt. For the iconic copper fronting the old copper was stripped and replaced using secret fixing to maintain its single-sheet aesthetic.
